Health Guarantee
Who we are
Health Guarantee
We stand behind the health of every Maltese puppy we place. Each puppy is guaranteed to be free of infectious diseases for 2 weeks and free from genetic defects for up to 1 year. All puppies leave our home in excellent health, with no known physical issues. Buyers are required to have their puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 14 days of pickup. Conditions influenced by diet, weight, or exercise are not covered under this guarantee. In the rare case of a genetic issue or loss after 2 years of age, we offer a 50% credit toward a future puppy (with veterinary confirmation).
Please note: this guarantee does not cover veterinary expenses.
What We Need From You
Nothing would make me happier than knowing that we have been a part of bringing a happy healthy puppy to your family. To help ensure this we will have a veterinarian examine your puppy not more than one week prior to the date you take possession of your puppy, and we ask that you have your veterinarian do an examination of your puppy not more than 5 days after receiving your puppy.
Your puppy will come with all age-appropriate vaccinations and dewormings, but it may still need more to be fully vaccinated. We will send a copy of all vaccines and dewormings your puppy has received with your puppy along with when the next set of vaccinations and dewormings is recommended. After that, you and your veterinarian should establish what vaccines and care your puppy should receive
Exception To The Guarantee
While we guarantee your puppy’s health, we do not guarantee size, color, conformation, temperament, or breeding ability. Coverage for hip or elbow dysplasia requires proof of a proper diet, joint supplements, and healthy weight management. Food changes must be approved by your vet or us for the health guarantee to remain valid. Any diagnosis must be supported by x-rays and a second opinion from a vet of our choosing.
Routine veterinary care is required, including all vaccinations, deworming, heartworm prevention, flea/tick treatment, and annual checkups. Failure to provide ongoing vet care voids this guarantee. Costs related to spaying/neutering, including undescended testicles, are not covered under any circumstance.
