Overview
We take the safety and welfare of our puppies seriously. This page outlines our shipping and delivery policy: how we prepare puppies for travel, the transport options available, documentation provided, costs and booking procedures, and essential aftercare instructions for new owners on arrival.
Pre-Delivery health & checks
Before any puppy leaves our care they receive a thorough veterinary check and are cleared fit to travel. Our standard pre-delivery protocol includes:
- Comprehensive physical exam by a licensed veterinarian.
- Age-appropriate vaccinations and a vaccination record.
- Up-to-date deworming and parasite control, with records provided.
- Microchipping and registration details, where applicable.
- Signed health certificate confirming fitness to travel (required for air and some road carriers).
- Pre-transport feeding and hydration guidance to reduce travel stress.
Transport options
We offer multiple transport options depending on distance and owner preference:
- Owner collection: Pick up directly from our property recommended for a calm, supervised handover.
- Door-to-door road transport: Experienced animal couriers using climate controlled vehicles and comfort stops. Suitable for interstate transfers.
- Air travel (where available): Airlines that accept puppies under IATA Live Animal Regulations. We only ship with carriers experienced in live animal transport and ensure compliance with airline policies.
Crate & comfort standards
All puppies travel in secure, appropriately sized crates that meet or exceed industry standards. Our crates include:
- Water and absorbent bedding to manage spills and comfort.
- Ventilation on multiple sides and secure locks.
- A familiar blanket or toy from the litter to reduce stress.
- Clearly labelled ID tags with your contact details and vet information.

Costs & payment
Transport costs vary by distance, service level and whether courier or airline fees apply. Typical pricing covers:
- Crate and handling fees
- Courier or airline charges
- Optional insurance for in-transit coverage
- Any necessary permits for interstate or international movements
We provide an itemised transport quote at the time of booking. Payment for transport is due before dispatch unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Arrival & immediate aftercare
On arrival follow these steps to ensure a smooth transition:
- Allow the puppy 10–20 minutes to acclimatise in a quiet, warm space before handling extensively.
- Offer water and a small feed once the puppy appears settled avoid large meals immediately after transport.
- Keep introductions to new people and animals gradual and supervised.
- Contact your local veterinarian for a welcome check within 48–72 hours if required or if you have concerns.
Insurance & liability
We recommend owners consider short-term transit insurance for peace of mind. While we take every reasonable precaution, liability during transport is governed by the carrier’s terms and the sale agreement. We will always assist and coordinate in the event of an incident.
Special situations & international travel
For interstate moves that require permits or international export, additional quarantine, export certificates and border documentation may be required. We will advise on the full process and partner with specialist exporters when necessary, but the buyer is responsible for ensuring import rules at the destination country are met.
Export checklist
- Destination-country import permits (buyer responsibility)
- Official export health certificate and endorsed documentation
- Any required quarantine bookings or pre-export testing
